This 2-day class gives an advanced presentation about Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar Spine, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hip, Knee and Ankle through the following steps of study: a) Anatomy and biomechanics, b) Mechanism of injury c) Differential diagnosis d) Orthopedic and Neurologic Exams Demonstrations of how respective orthopedic physical examinations are performed will enable the students to have hands-on experience followed by lectures. After completing this course, students will have general skills to perform orthopedic examinations. They will be able to accurately assess orthopedic injuries and recognize the conditions that are appropriate for acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments.

This module covers the etiology, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, treatment principles and treatment therapies of the most common dermatological disorders. These disorders include red macule pityriasis disorders, viral infectious disorders, allergic disorders, and acne and rosacea. A TCM clinic demonstration on treating dermatologic disorders discussed will enable attendees to practically use the knowledge gained. After completing this course, students will be able to perform basic diagnosis and pattern differentiation on the most common dermatologic disorders and give corresponding treatments. Students will be able to view the most common dermatologic disorders from the TCM and Western medicine perspectives.
