吳沛霖教授自1969年畢業於廣州中醫藥大學后,即長期從事婦產科的臨床與教學工作。1975-1976年曾參加中山醫科大學的婦產科高級專業培訓。1985年成為廣州中醫藥大學婦科系博士導師組成員,出版過10餘篇論文及著作。吳教授1994年起在洛杉磯的薩姆拉東方醫科大學(Samra University of Oriental Medicine)及洛杉磯東國大學(Dongguk University)任教,并擔任一霖國際針灸中藥中心主任。
曾教授曾在 The National College of Naturopathic Medicine教學,並被授予金字木質獎牌. 曾教授在 The Institute for Traditional Medicine 研究出治愛滋病的純中藥片劑. 作為中醫學界的老前輩曾教授回國後還兩次受聘廣西中醫學院講學. 曾教授所教過的華人, 洋人, 醫者, 和學者不計其數.
