Career Development
Five Branches University is dedicated to providing students with the support, education and resources to move forward into their chosen career endeavor with the knowledge, skills and level of confidence required to be successful in their Traditional Chinese Medicine career.
The Career Development Department provides the following services to students:
Career Counseling
While the majority of graduates from Five Branches University enter practice as sole proprietors, opportunities in integrative practice, corporate wellness, academics, publishing and other fields are continually increasing. Whatever the student’s career of choice, Career counselors will guide and support students in pursuing their optimal career path.
Practice Management Courses
Specialized practice management courses are taught by experts in the field on how to start, manage, build and sustain a practice. We also invite experienced and successful alumni to speak to students about their unique experiences in practice.
Assistantship program
A mentoring relationship is fostered through an assistantship program, offering students valuable business experience in a practice environment.
Job placement services
Job placement services connects employers with students by managing an online database of professional opportunities where graduating students can search for job openings, space to rent, integrative partnerships and practices for sale.
Career Resource Library
A Career resource library offers students access to practice management books, videos and other valuable business resources to assist students in learning how to prepare for the job market or how to start a successful practice.
Alumni Services
Once graduated, the Career Development Department will continue to offer support services to Alumni to assist them in starting, building and managing their practice or in establishing and maintaining their TCM career. Ongoing business workshops and seminars will be hosted during the year as well as continuing efforts to foster and enhance relationships between fellow alumni and students.
