Five Branches University offers a variety of classes and specialization programs in Qigong and Medical Qigong; bringing together wisdoms from modalities based in Eastern and Western traditions. Courses may be taken individually for personal development, and by massage therapists, qigong instructors, licensed acupuncturists and other healing practitioners wanting to add to their skills. Courses may be taken in a series of classes that lead to a specialization in Medical Qigong and Qigong.
Qigong and Medical Qigong
Both the Santa Cruz and San Jose campuses offer specialization programs and individual courses in Qigong and Medical Qigong.
The Self Cultivation program, available at both the San Jose and Santa Cruz campuses, is a two-course qigong training program designed to enhance your awareness of energy within and around yourself. You will learn esoteric Medical Qigong terminology, energetic anatomy and physiology, and how external and internal pathogenic factors can affect health.
Medical Qigong I
In Medical Qigong I, you are led through a progressive series of Qigong meditations and exercises, and will learn basic applications of Medical Qigong purgation, tonification, and regulation energetic skills.
Medical Qigong II
In Medical Qigong II, you are led through a progressive series of advanced Shengong meditations and exercises, specifically used for developing advanced intuitive diagnostic skills.
Medical Qigong Practitioner I – Santa Cruz Campus
The Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP) program, offered at the Five Branches Santa Cruz campus, is a 200-hour Medical Qigong training program which includes clinical training under the supervision of a licensed acupuncturist specializing in Medical Qigong. The MQP is designed to teach you how to integrate self-cultivation skills and apply them in the realm of qi emission.
Medical Qigong Practitioner II – San Jose Campus
The Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP) 650-hour Specialization program, offered at the Five Branches University San Jose campus, is a powerful journey through deep self-healing as a means to awaken your ability to help others heal.
