Will the school help me find a job?
It's a fair worry — after years of study, "will this actually lead to work" matters as much as the curriculum itself. Five Branches doesn't promise a job to any individual graduate, but it does build several concrete, ongoing supports around your job search rather than leaving you to figure it out alone.

| Support | What it actually is |
|---|---|
| Career Development Courses | Required coursework on starting, marketing, and sustaining a TCM practice, taught by faculty, with hands-on community outreach practice |
| Placement Assistance / TCM Careers board | A live jobs board (part of the Alumni site) listing associate positions, clinic space for rent, and practices for sale — the school corresponds directly with medical professionals seeking TCM graduates |
| Practitioner Referrals | When patients nationwide contact the school asking for a local acupuncturist, referrals go to alumni in that area — listed in the Alumni Practitioner Directory |
| Alumni Network | A worldwide community of practitioners, teachers, and researchers who share job leads, offer externships, and mentor newer graduates |
| Continuing Education | On-campus and online CEU courses, plus the Postgraduate DAOM, for practitioners who want to keep building credentials after licensure |

It's also worth knowing acupuncturists increasingly work inside mainstream healthcare, not just private clinics — programs at UCSF's Osher Center, Stanford Health Care, and Chinese Hospital San Francisco all have acupuncturists on staff, which you can verify yourself in their public provider directories.
None of this replaces you doing the work of building a practice or a resume — but it means you're not doing it in a vacuum. Is it the early-career job search you're weighing, or more the longer arc of building toward your own practice one day?
