How do I compare schools fairly?

Accreditation first. Any accredited program should be able to name its accreditor without hesitation. Five Branches' programs are accredited by ACAHM (Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine). For any other school, confirm this directly on that school's own site rather than taking a brochure's word for it.
A pass rate means nothing without its sample size. A single semester's percentage from a program graduating 3–5 people a year can swing 20–50 points on one retake alone; a program testing 30–40+ people a year moves only a couple of points on the same event. Always ask for the multi-year cumulative rate and the test-taker count behind it — not the percentage in isolation:
