BAD ZURZACH, Switzerland — The International Symposium on Acupuncture and Moxibustion will convene Aug. 13–16, just an hour north of Zurich.
Five Branches University (FBU) is proud to serve as a co-organizer with the Swiss TCM University
of the 4th Annual Scientific TCM Congress, World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion
Societies (WFAS), and the International Association of Acupuncture and Aesthetic Medicine.
Together, these organizations are bringing the world’s leading clinicians, researchers, and
educators to Bad Zurzach, Switzerland, for one of the premier international gatherings
dedicated to advancing Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Attendees will experience cutting-edge scientific discoveries, innovative clinical applications,
and thought-provoking discussions that are shaping the future of TCM worldwide.

inviting internationally recognized speakers,” said Dr. Robyn Sodders, Dean of the Doctor of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program at FBU. “One of the highlights of our
collaboration is the opportunity for the winner of the Five Branches University DAOM Research
Symposium to present as an Emerging Researcher at the Swiss summer congress, showcasing
the next generation of leaders in TCM research.”
This year’s Emerging Researcher is Dr. Jasmine Walton, who earned top honors at the Five
Branches University DAOM Research Symposium in March. She will present her award-winning
research to an international audience of scholars and clinicians, demonstrating the high caliber
of research emerging from FBU’s doctoral program.
The congress will feature an exceptional roster of five internationally acclaimed keynote
speakers, including the renowned Dr. Mazin Al-Khafaji and Prof. Guanhu Yang, along with more
than 20 distinguished presenters representing the forefront of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Five Branches University will be strongly represented by faculty members Dr. Samson Cheung,
Dr. Ching Chi, Dr. Jamie Boyd, Aimee Centivany Aurousseau and Dr. Brandt Stickley; alumni Dr.
