Oct 1st North American TCM Symposium on Mental & Emotional Disorders

Organized by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and National
Federation of Chinese TCM Organizations (NFCTCMO), the North American TCM Symposium
on Mental & Emotional Disorders will be held on October 1, 2017 in San Francisco Marriott
Union Square.

Half of all Americans in the US require psychological treatment, but thankfully Chinese
medicine and acupuncture can treat the root of these problems. International experts on Chinese
medicine are gathering in San Francisco in recognition of World Mental Health Day to report
new progress and ideas in the treatment of mental issues as well as discuss ways to take your

The world class keynote speakers include Prof. Yonghou Zhao (Chief physician and President
of the Affiliated Psychiatric Hospital, Heilongjiang University of TCM, China), Prof. Zhang-
Jin Zhang (Associate Director for Clinical Affairs in School of Chinese Medicine of the
University of Hong Kong), and Joseph Changqing Yang, Ph.D. (Faculty member of Alhambra
Medical University). The other speakers include Paula King, Ph.D., April L. Schulte-Barclay,
DAOM, L.Ac., Gabrielle LeCompte, MD, L.Ac., Gordon Wang, MD, MPH, Hongxiao Jia, Ph.D.,

This symposium is hosted by the American Association of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture
(AACMA) and the Five Branches University. Participants earn 8 units of CEU credits for
